This year more than usual we are doing more chess camps and tournaments. We are particularly happy about this due to the fact in 2024 we do plan on competing in at least one regional tournament and two national tournaments, including one in Atlanta, Georgia.
At the national tournament in Atlanta, Georgia in 2024 our students tour the city's three HBCU's. We also will work on touring the Coca Cola museum and the Civil Rights museum. However, we need your financial support.
Our next summer camps are scheduled for July 13, Thursday, and July 20, Thursday, 4 to 6 pm at the Shawnee Branch Library, At Shawnee Branch Library we are also doing a tournament- The Shawnee Neighborhood Chess Classic, 11 am, all ages and skill levels welcome!
