This June 10, Saturday, at Black Complex Louisville, 816 East Broadway, 11 am, Rochelle Ballantyne, one of North America's greatest chess athletes and personalities gives a workshop lecture on WOMEN IN CHESS.
There will be plenty of time for questions and photos. Please try to arrive by 10:50 am.
Come hear Rochelle talk about why she believes it is so important for women and girls compete in the chess sports world, and how chess can help anyone, male or female sharpen their thinking and problem solving skills. Two skills that can upon which a person can do better in school, and even help in their pursuit of advanced degrees.
A recent New York University law graduate, Rochelle also will be giving a workshop at 1 pm (same date and location) and talk about Chess in Education. This one in particular is something parents and educators should definitely hear.
Lunch provided. Food and drink donations appreciated. And please feel free to offer Rochelle cards, and Kentucky gifts. This is her first visit to Kentucky!
