The David James Chess Classic takes place March 18, Saturday, at the California Community Center, 1600 West St. Catherine. The registration time is 4:45 pm.
There is no entry fee, although the tournament will be limited to 16 players. The playing conditions are quads, round robin, 3 rounds at G/25. We provide the sets and the clocks.
Affordable concessions will be on site. Please bring small bills. Large bills will not be accepted. And there will be a raffle- one dollar tickets for a twenty-five dollar VISA card. All proceeds benefit the West Louisville Chess Club.
Also, we are doing a buffet dinner at Golden Corral, March 25, Saturday, 6 pm. It is at the Golden Corral located on Taylorsville Road. At that time we are recognizing and showing our love for Chess Master D as he travels to compete in a national tournament in Washington, D.C. This is a major event and we all want to host a dinner to express our love and appreciation for Chess Master D and what he is doing in representing the city of Louisville and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Your fee is three dollars! We cover the remainder. But you must RSVP with a three dollar payment by March 23. Here is where you pay....
